Usher BE vs. Diamond tweeter

Options
So I just got these usher be-718, but I can’t help but wonder about that diamond tweeter. I know what skip will tell me haha, but any folks here get to compare them or own both? I also have no idea what a pair costs, so it might be a moot point, but I’m interested in listening impressions...thx!

Be tweeter smoother sounding, if you like jazz or classical. Dmd more detailed and airy and maybe a little faster. a pair of the dmd will be at least $500.

I was pretty impressed with the diamond tweeters from Usher. I generally don't care for most diamond tweeters I've heard, but those were pretty nice.

I listen to pretty much everything but classical - jazz, folk, rock, country, r&b are all in the regular rotation. $500 is about 1/2 what I paid for the speakers. Doesn’t sound worth it based on your description?

mind you when i first bought my mini dancer 2's, they came with Be tweeters, then i purchased the DMD tweeters thinking i would swap them out for mood. once i put the DMD's in i never swapped them back out.
you can sell the Be tweeter, i sold mine.

An usher dealer like audiothesis.com. When I checked they were $500 each! Too rich for my blood…especially since that’s what I paid for the speakers.

    Those are some stout bookies.

If you decide you don’t like them, please let me know, I’d be interested.

Considering I custom built the subwoofer stands to match the size of the ushers, they aren’t going any where any time soon…
