If an actor ever really "made" a movie, for me it would be him In The Heat Of The Night.

I laughed a lot watching this one. Knowing what it takes to build buildings, I felt his uneasiness to help them. But throughout the movie the plot was obvious that GOD had put them together. Funny movie.
I loved "In the heat of the night" a lot. The "Defiant ones" was also a great movie defining "face to face" clashes of perceived racial pre-judgements.

Only the GREAT Sidney Poitier and his GREAT co-stars could honestly portray what America was truly like in the 60's.

    R.I.P Mr. Poitier.
You showed us all how to be better people toward race relations.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.
