Yes it took me a whole week to just get the bookies moved to the basement and they are not even hooked up yet lol. Shame....shame. Where do the reviews go in the forum....here? Also I am curious what burn in time people find are optimal....

I would put your review in the speaker section.

As far as burn in time, I don't know as I'm letting my system run Pandora all day for the past 2 days. I'll do that for a week and see how the sound compares.

Reviews are supposed to go on Polk's webpage for that particular model speaker. You can certainly duplicate the review and add it to the forum.

    Example: L200

My baseline is bone stock SRS TL’s, of which I only have a few hours of seat time.

So right out of box, the L800 SDA effect was bigger. Wider, and deeper soundstage.

Bass was comparable to the TL’s. Perhaps a bit tighter than the TL’s. About as deep.

Highs were much cleaner than the SL3000’s. Better clarity for sure.

Got em breaking in right now, will spin the CD player 24/7 for a bit, but out of the box sound really good to these ears! More to come of course.

    Initial impression overall very happy!

John, you should start your own thread on buying a set of L800s. Then on the last page of that thread, decide not to buy them. :open_mouth:

    L600s have arrived. 😀
Glad my wife was not working today.
No tracking was available on my shipment and no phone calls to schedule delivery.
Sadly won’t have time until the weekend to set them up.

No time?? Karma them to someone who will make time 😜

I hadn't been tracking Polk's pricing, and thus didn't realize the discount was a Labor Day sale. I thought I had until the end of the month to take advantage of the Legendary offer, and I actually still do, just not at those sale prices... A classic case of when you snooze, you lose. My code is available, should anyone want it.

I've been waiting for those with new L800's to chime in with their impressions, and I didn't realize that the Sale pricing had expired until I checked last evening.

I was actually adding a pair to the cart when I noticed this. I'm backing out and also have a Discount Code if anyone might be interested, just shoot me a p.m. and I'll pass it along.
