Bitter-sweet moment

Tonight I was listening to some Toad the Wet Sprocket on Youtube, and the randomizing of the subsequent bands/songs that were played were nostalgically (is that a word?) satisfying, but there were a couple songs from bands who had band members that died, then I got kinda bummed.

Can’t help but wonder what other musical inspiration we’ve missed from these young departed.

The bands were Blind Melon and The Cranberries. Then my mind filled in a blank on its own remembering Chris Cornell of Soundgarden. Well crap, that’s all lead singers!

Obviously, all kinds of great artists have died, but it kinda hit home more tonight for some reason. Meh.

    For sure!

Staley’s could almost be predicted though; he was always singing about death.

The story didn't end well for poor Dolores Mary Eileen O'Riordan, lead singer of the Cranberries, either.
    :(
EDIT: Oh, you did fill in that blank -- I didn't read between the lines too well on the OP. :/

PS "nostalgically" is 100% a real, actual word.
  • Did anyone know that Toad The Wet Sprocket released a new album TODAY?!

    Amazing how life works sometimes!
