I received too me what was some important mail sent from Denver, Co postmarked 8.14.21 @ 4:00 pm and I received it 8.17.21. And being I fetch my mail every other day, for all I know it could have been delivered the day before.

All mail sent here goes to Harrisburg then dispersed from there. I could send a letter to my neighbor and it would take a minimum of 3 days to get there. Priority is different. That service costs extra and usually get delivered in the promised time frame. USPS really doesn't care about first class mail. It's a loser for them and personal experience says they really don't GARA about it.

In the case of banks, the delay is intentional on the part of the bank, not the mail. Bill pay, for example usually requires 2 business days before they even mail a check. Some take even longer than that. During that time, they have your money.
Did you miss the part where I said the payment was posted to her account the day after she mailed it. That’s the part that’s similar to Bud’s situation.

Mail is something good in SoCal.
When I sent Netflix from San Diego to LA it was a day.
If I order a prescription refill before noon I get it the next business day. That's and LA to San Diego.
On the outside of my mail in ballot there is a barcode. That barcode is in the system assigned to me. When county ROV receives the envelopes it get scanned in quick.When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.
