Any Polks owned/ own this AV?

Got me one and would need your guidance the best way to set this up. Not familiar with Yamaha other than the R1 motorcycle! LoL

I believe “Pure Direct” would be the best way to go. Using a amp to fire the center.

Like to set all speakers to small unless you advise otherwise. Using a SPL meter and calibrate it manually.

Any advice would be great! Cheers

    For music I’d recommend pure direct, maybe not for movies. I would use the YPAO auto eq to set the levels and then set all speakers to small if driven from the AVR. If you’re including an external amp or only powering the mains then you could set to large.

    Audio tested and all good. Video input seems a concern, sometimes it’s passing through and often it doesn’t. Hope it’s only a setting that I need to figure out.

    Alright I had that all figured out already, so what brand of cable, is it 4k compatible? Is the receiver set to bitstream or ?

    HDMI provided by Comcast. I’ll troubleshoot it again and change the HDMI. I am not streaming 4K, using my son’s Xbox360 to test all the HDMI inputs.

    Damn… still nothing but using the ROkU sticks works! Gotta be some setting. Also, where’s the Auto Format Decoding? Should I just set it on Standard?

    Got the AFD, it’s the “Straight” setting. PS3 and Roku works! XBOX360 still not reading it…. Da heck. All cable works.

    All good except Xbox360, weird. It was working fine then just stopped loving the Xbox360.

    How do I get to use the component video? Got cable input and output using AV2, should work but no signal other than the Coax audio cable. Any thoughts?
