    I used organic grapeseed oil for the seasoning process...5 step process & it's now slick as ice.

    For cooking I'll switch it up between flaxseed oil, avacodo oil (highest amount point) olive oil & good 'ole butter. Not to mention when I'm cooking bacon the grease is the bomb!

    Eh, I just used regular ole vegetable oil. I did it more to keep it from rusting than anything. Had a Scout meeting tonight so didn't get to cook on it but cheesesteaks tomorrow night, for sure!

    I wonder if I can use on the porch instead of standing in the rain?

    And yeah, took about 5 heating cycles. It's mostly black now. I'll take a picture of it tomorrow in the day light. I left and went to the meeting because the laser thermometer said the top was still at about 700 degrees and that's a teensy bit too hot to pick up!

    Nah, Liscio's. Local Acmes are carrying them. I like them better than Del Buono's lately. I dunno what's up with them. Been off their game lately. Besides, when Liscio's first started out I was working at a shop that maintained their trucks and Saturday morning pickups from them came with a couple dozen fresh baked rolls "for your families from ours" and that was pretty cool of them.

    The beef was Lancaster shredded rib eye and the onions and peppers came from a farmer's market in Hammonton and the mushrooms were straight from Kennett Square, PA. The only thing not local was the oil and the butcher bacon which came from a butcher shop near Harry on Lawn Guy Land
