Parasound HCA 1000 goes into protection

Amp plays fine until about 15 to 20 minutes, then goes into protection for a few seconds and returns. Will repeat this over and over. While this amp serves the purpose for my outdoor speakers I wonder if it's worth the $$ to repair or just buy another. External wiring/cables all seem fine. Is this likely a cheap fix or not?

Yes, contact Parasound. Don't be surprised if Richard Schram (president of the Parasound) replies back. They helped me get my HCA-800ii working when it had the same problem. In that case it was just a bad capacitor in the protection circuit.Stan
