Parasound HCA 1000 goes into protection

Amp plays fine until about 15 to 20 minutes, then goes into protection for a few seconds and returns. Will repeat this over and over. While this amp serves the purpose for my outdoor speakers I wonder if it's worth the $$ to repair or just buy another. External wiring/cables all seem fine. Is this likely a cheap fix or not?
Yep, my name really is Bob.

Yes, contact Parasound. Don't be surprised if Richard Schram (president of the Parasound) replies back. They helped me get my HCA-800ii working when it had the same problem. In that case it was just a bad capacitor in the protection circuit.
