New Toy In The House

Hi Everyone,

Cheers All....

I though the forum was gone for good. Have not been here for a few weeks. New format sucks.

So I got this one a few days a ago and I love it. Specially with the manual transmission. Already ordered a few cosmetics upgrades and more coming.

Also ordered a 12" powered subwoofer that fits inside the spare tire. Saving space. Reports after installation.

Nice, I had an 82 Corolla, and loved it. At 71 every car I have owned had, and has, a manual transmission. I will keep your car in mind when I shop for my last car.

Nice, my 1st car was my family's 81 Corrola Terrel. 1AC engine.

    That corrola looks good! Congrats.

Now if they would put the Toyota V6 and AWD in that little hatch back I'd take id buy one.

Small cars, and hatchbacks in particular, are way more fun to drive in traffic in busy cities IMHO. They feel far more zippy and responsive than bigger, more powerful cars. Congratulations! 🥳

At least some cars are still available in manual transmission. Sadly it seems like there's fewer and fewer cars that let you row your own gears these days.

I'm still trying to visualize a 12" powered subwoofer inside a spare tire and I'm drawing a blank. Is the subwoofer shaped like an inner tube?

The spare tire rim has a bowl shape.
    It fits in that.
My 1st Toyota is the v6 Camry I bought
Last year used. The v6 moves it along very well.

Best looking Corolla ever! I’m glad they decided to sell the hatchback here. Great choice with the manual. I was surprised to learn how hard it was to find a used Mini Cooper with a manual.

Yeah man! That Corolla looks very sweet! The Asian (Toyota, Kia, Hyundai, Subaru) hatchbacks are looking as good or better then the Euro (VW Golf) Hatchbacks that are available in the US. What the heck is going on?

In my youth a hot hatch with 4-5 on the floor was the only way I wanted to roll. I went from American to Euro... Pontiac T1000, Ford Escort GT, VW Corrado G60, then BMW 318Ti Sport. All those cars had aftermarket sound quality stereos as well. Some days I miss having a hatch. Man, I'll turn 55 on the 15'th and I would love to trade in my family hauler sports sedan 300S for one of these adult hatchbacks! My 300S is 198.6" LONG! but only has about 16.3 ft³ of cargo space. These hatchbacks have MUCH more space!

The Buick Regal GS Sportback 31.5 ft³

    The VW Arteon 27.2 ft³

Does the Corolla sound like a loud azz dirt bike now? Those cars are annoying when a teenager winds them up.

Nope. Really good sound deep engines. Even for a 2.0L

    Hi Thanks.

The exhaust is from DC Sports
The diffuser is from Carbon Creations

The Remark's are back order everywhere until late June or July.

Those wheels looks great. I bet the speakers sound better than the stock ones. My 2020 Tacoma came with stock ones & they svck bad. I have trucks & I'm thinking of buying a Corolla for weekend traveling. My youngest daughter in 2018 bought a 2018 Corolla SE & it gets outstanding gas mileage - even as hard as she drives it
