Hello all,
I have been wanting to change out my speakers for many years. Not because they don't perform, they are crazy how good they are but I just want a change not to mention I haven't used the internal Subwoofers as Subwoofers in many years due to I have been running external subs.
Anyway I have many pics on the forum of them and I'll post just a few which are probably the same ones LOL.
I'd like to sell them all together . Unless someone can find me a pair of Mythos 10's or Mythos 9's , I would just sell the Mythos ST towers and we can talk about price.
Both subwoofers have been repaired at different times. The last one was repaired about a year ago. The Sub Light works on the one and the other one the light is out. I didn't bother to get another back plate for it as the volume control and Inputs all work just fine. You have to replace the entire back panel to replace the light as far as I know unless you want to solder a new one on it. I also got 2 new grills as the damn grill pegs break over time. I use to take the grills on and off a lot and over time the little pins most of them broke off. I have the original Grills I can also provide with the new ones. Also I have a full set or replacement Crossovers for both speakers. These are brand new from Definitive. I got them with the idea of doing a crossover mod and then swapping back and forth to see what differences the modded crossovers would make over stock. Well I never got around to that and still have the new crossovers in the box.
All Speakers are MINT , my MINT they are like new with little to no visual wear. They where well taken care of no smoke no damage no scratches.
Anyway I have the Manuals , Center channel standing feet , Original boxes.
I'd let the entire system go for $3000.00 plus shipping or local pickup. The Mythos ST towers where $4000.00 alone so I think that's a pretty good deal. The Mythos 10's where $899 each so do the math and figure out if that's a steal or what?

GLWTS! Nice speakers for sure. I really like that blue paint in there. Never would have thought blue would look good.

The Mythos ST towers are setup in small. I haven't used the built in subs in many years. They just play down to 80hz on a 10db slope and that's it.
I've been really liking the Monitor Audio line and want to get back to a normal style speaker. One without built in Sub's. Like you I have 2 Velodyne subs just the higher end models in the DD-10 Plus. They are remarkable subs and there is no reason to use LFE to the Mythos ST's. I had them setup as LFE and then went to stand alone subs back and forth for many years. I like to play around .
So the Monitor Audio line I'm thinking about either the Sliver or Gold line and probably going to use Sound Frame 2's as surround speakers. They are similar to the Mythos 10 design so I won't have to repaint when I swap them out.
It's funny as I really don't want to sell them but If I buy an entirely new speaker package and put all the Def Tech in storage, I think my wife will finally just shoot me. I have so much gear down there and I just picked up the Rt16' just because I always just wanted a pair. They will go down the basement and hopefully I use them in the Gym . I already have a pair of Outdoor Speakers mounted down there with a Subwoofer in the Gym and that system rocks. Didn't care still wanted the RT16's LOL.

They are the Sound Frames I'm strongly considering using as Surrounds.

These are probably going to be the main channel speakers but the Silver line is awesome as well. Here's the Silver Mains

Matching Center channel of course either Silver or Gold depending on which way I go.

The Silver and Gold are some pretty fine speakers, great choice. I tell you, the Piano Ebony finish available on the Gold just tickles my fancy. I just have to figure out a way to own a set of the 200's when I become an empty nester. What a fine piece of furniture!

Here they are next to the BDI Corridor console in chocolate stained walnut, the even the Mrs. likes this piece. She is not a fan on my Salamander Synergy in walnut. Those speakers and that console, and I would be done!

There's a set of Silver 300's & C350 for sale in black over on AVSForum. The guy has the boxes and is located far out West however.
