He died of prostate cancer that metastasized to his bladder. Very sad and most likely preventable. Guys get checked.

He made a name for himself. I remember him coming onto the boxing scene and thought, who is this guy. I hadn't heard of him and I watched all those boxing matches that were big events too. I read his record and it is impressive for sure.

Anyway, I think I remember him fighting Mike Tyson. Am I right? Didn't Mike hit him one time and he went down. I think he got up but got knocked down again. Then one more time? Fight over in like 1 minute? I'm going to search the web now...yup, 91 seconds. Tyson was a beast of a puncher during those years. Nobody could take those hits to their heads.

Boxing matches were spectacles. I had many gatherings at my house for those "Friday Night Fights"

Leon did have speed, grace and power. ;)

    R.I.P. Mr. Spinks.

correct! but you could take Tysons first 20 fights and they all look the same regardless of his opponent.
He was a beast with the cleanest true punching power from the ground up, Awesome hips translation SICK KO's! Gust trained him well, I miss those decades of Boxing greats!

Don King ruined him and messed up his head. He chewed through fighters like a new chainsaw through wood. I loved and hated his fights at the same time.
