psw10 sub- loud buzz when plugged into any wall or power bar

Hi guys-- i have heard different opinions on this. I have a loud buzz when my psw10 is plugged into any wall outlet, or power surge outlet. There are no cables (rca, speaker wire) at all connected to the sub. Is my subwoofer finished?
