    I'm reminded of the plot to the first Colombo mystery. Man murders wife by strangulation and stages a break in/robbery. Then gets on a plane with his mistress dressed in sunglasses and scarf, posing as his wife. They get into a staged argument on the plane before take off and she leaves the plane. Man goes on vacation creating an alibi. When returning home to his apartment, Columbo is there waiting. He never yelled out his wife's name upon entering the apartment. Why? He learned that his wife had been a victim of a robbery but survived, but unconscious at the hospital. Days later she regains consciousness only to die seconds later. "Just one more thing." She was awake long enough to mutter one word. Her husband's name. Was she thinking of her loving husband during her final seconds or revealing who murdered her?

    Part of the problem is people having to go into hospitals alone and no visitors being allowed in. I've heard frustrations about communications from friends whose parents have gone in for routine surgeries and word is really slow to get out about how they are doing.
