Do I need hurricane nuts?

Options
I tested my 7bs with peerless tweeters for air leaks by pushing in the PR and timing the driver back to its normal position. It is well over 15 seconds. I like the look of the hurricane bolts (Allen style head) but I think that installing it not necessary in my situation.... So any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

The purpose of installing hurricane nuts or Larry's rings is to clamp the driver baskets to the bezel better than the stock screws possibly could. This reduces basket vibration, which in turn cleans up the mid range and tightens the bass.

The reason for your long push test result is the tight weave dust caps on the mid-drivers. Polk switched to dust caps with a more open weave later on.
