The app is less stable than the unit
But if you fire up the app before the unit has connected to the internet, you will get that error Drew. always let the machine get it's IP, then fire up LDS

Ah, this is exactly what happened. I forgot to turn on my D-Link DAP-1665 and let it boot up before I woke the G1 from sleep. Won't make that mistake again.

    Nope.

I've noticed with a lot of these devices some people have no problem and other people have a lot of problems. It seems to happen more with music devices than with mainstream video/ music devices. I don't have any problems with my Roku, but I have a lot of problems with my node2.

I might be wrong but, it could be the Roku buffers ahead and will adjust is quality with the network speed where the node doesn't.

I believe you are correct about that, my problem doesn't stem from the playback chain it's the app not showing the correct song or having to go in and out of the app to get my playlist to come up.

Still no worky. I am wondering if I need a dedicated router. as Auralic recommends. We already have 4 routers in a modest sized house...long story.

I am also running a mini on wifi. Router is up stairs. I have not run into any issues outside of having to reboot the Mini once in a while when the app says no device.

I run a netgear night hawk extender to my entertainment cabinet then hard wire everything to the extender. Have zero connectivity issues!
