The debut album by Garbage was released on this date 25 years ago. Recorded in Madison, Wisconsin, but I first heard it in California on the radio as they were among the first to recognize its brilliance. Then on my return to the Midwest I began to hear Stupid Girl on some alternative stations. The album spawned five singles. Notwithstanding, I always thought Version 2.0 was the pinnacle.

I'm a total fan of the group Garbage. Check out the 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition/Remastered on HDTracks its great! @dromunds link below:

I'm really looking forward to checking out Version 2.0 (20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition / Remastered) from hdtracks on my next day off. Monday won't come soon enough lol. Link below:

I saw them not too long ago play Version 2.0 in its entirety. I also saw them when Version 2.0 first came out, it was a truly smokin’ show. Probably seen them seven or eight times Over the years and each one was awesome. Hard to believe how long they’ve been around.

To get the chance to see them once would be great but eight times you're lucky. Shirley Manson is one of my favorite female vocalists.

I have both albums on CD from when they were released (and I was a only a kid at the time) so needless to say they are not in the best condition now lol. When I purchased the first remastered album 2.0 wasn't available at least not on HDTracks then. I'll be purchasing 2.0 from HDT real soon!

You will not be disappointed. Shirley is indeed one of a kind. But the guys know how to write and play rockin’ songs. Not to say they also can’t write slow ones but songs like Push It are true rockers. I always especially liked The Trick Is To Keep Breathing From that album also. Really good album throughout

Fantastic example of melodic, introspective, and emotional drum n bass music. Real, true, actual deep bass. Play this song at my funeral.
