I have it hooked up to my aux hookup on my Music Hall A70.2. I'm also running a Yamaha A2070 connected to the home theater by pass inputs. I'm running a HSU sub connected to the 2070. Polk LSiM 705's.

The problem I have is I want to connect the sub to my 2070 for watching TV and movies, but the Blue node sounds lacks on the bottom end if I don't connect the sub to my A70.2. I haven't tried connecting the sub to my Blue node yet.

I don't guess there is any work around to this is there?

BTW I do like the highs on the Blue node better.

So you have two main options. The first is just to run to sub from the preouts on the integrated and cross it over really low to blend it in with the 705s. This is the more audiophile way to do it and will sound best for music. For HT, you would just set your yammie to no sub and rerun the calibration. It will sense that the mains are now "full range" and re-direct the bass to the mains. HT performance will suffer a bit as the mains will handle the majority of the bass, with the sub just getting the really low stuff...

Second option: my rather inelegant solution in the past was to utilize both of the inputs in the HSU sub. Input was from the preouts on the integrated (you'll need an rca splitter). In order to not have full range bass I used one of these https://www.parts-express.com/harrison-labs-fmod-inline-crossover-pair-50-hz-low-pass-rca--266-25

The problem is that you will then have overlap with your mains. You really need a 35hz filter, which I thought they used to make but don't see it. The second input on the sub comes from the yammie, which will be setup as normal. During movies the sub will sum the two signals. I actually liked this option, but I was using bookies with a 70hz filter...

FYI method one is what I do in with the dynaudios and the ML grotto and it sounds really good crossed over at about 42hz, but even though we watch most of our TV on that system it is pure 2 channel so I don't have to worry about the AVR...

Did you get a chance to try it out! I really hope you get it set up in a way that you really enjoy because otherwise I will feel bad for pushing so hard. We are like audio crack dealers on this site :p

Yes, I hooked it up the way you said and ran YAPO again on my 2070 and ran the speakers full range with no sub. I did it last night, but didn't get to listen much at all so I wanted to listen today and then respond.

The 2070 in 2 or3 channel mode sounds good without the sub and the Music Hall in 2 channel sounds better with the sub.

I'm happy and thanks again for your help.

Glad to hear it worked out for you I also suggested you get the Node2I, and that Rooftop was able to help you out was great. I had no issues with my Node 2 lack of low end wise in a 2 channel set up.

Streaming is a convenience for me so I'm happy with it. I still prefer SACD or LPs for the sitting down more critical type listening. What you paid for that streamer and now that your results are positive you did good enjoy it, I highly recommend a Tidal Subscription.
