MIT Speaker Cables

I know there is some love on here for MIT Cables with SDA speakers.
I have been looking around for some decent used ones.
I found 3 sets.

L/PC Squared $125
Terminator 2 $200
Terminator 6 $250

Are the Terminators $100 better than the L/PC and if so what is the difference between the T2 and T6 besides 4 ... ?

I have a Butler TDB 2250 Amp, driving upgraded SDA 2.3's if it matters. I'm using a Yamaha CR 2040 as my Preamp for now.

I'm not Dead Set (great album by the way) on MIT but people that know more than I on here seem to really like them.

$250 ish is my budget, but less is always better.

Thanks as always for any input.

My advice would be to save your money and use it towards a good preamp. You won't notice a difference in cabling when using the Yamaha receiver as a preamp.

Welcome to CP! I have lot's of MIT cables, started out with the T2's, and eventually upgraded to the Shotgun's. You are correct. Lot's of love here for MIT cables.

Not sure about the L/PC's never heard of them.

The T2's from what I read is the sweet spot of the Terminator line.

I'm working on that as well. I'm in the process of selling a few pairs of spare speakers to fund a preamp which will be a whole other process... But I can't say the Yamaha sounds bad, the phono stage is really good and it certainly looks great but I figure it probably has some Sonic limitations.

Staying around $1k for the preamp is my current budget. If anyone has Preamp suggestions please feel free to chime in.

The L/PC look more like everyone else's cables without the box. I assume it's probably their lowest level cable but very little info on them on a Google search.

Oh ok. 2 hundie for the T2's is not a bad price.

Lot's of choices too for a pre less than $1K! Keep an eye on the FS thread! Always lot's of good stuff! I do most of my shopping there!

I didn't notice a cabling difference when I used my restored Yamaha C4 pre but I did when I moved up to a Mcintosh C33. The cabling differences were even more evident when I moved up to a 2 piece Mcintosh C100 preamp. I've had a few of the Terminator series and I suggest saving up a bit more and going for the Shotgun series.
