Timing couldn’t be better! If it doesn’t save Friday listening (too late to warm up), it can still save Saturday listening. 😊

Question (out of curiosity): will it still not be usable if it has only warmed up for, say, one hour, or does that risk undesirable consequences (other than not sounding as good)?

    🤔

The real issue is unboxing a 150 lb amp, getting it onto the bottom rack shelf, hooked up, and powered on. Depending on when it gets here will determine if it gets hooked up today. If I get it before 4 PM then I will install it. Otherwise tomorrow.
Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable
Sony XA-5400ES SACD; Pass XP-22 pre; X600.5 amps
Magico S5 MKII Mcast Rose speakers; SPOD spikes

Shunyata Triton v3/Typhon QR on source, Denali 2000 (2) on amps
Shunyata Sigma XLR analog ICs, Sigma speaker cables
Shunyata Sigma HC (2), Sigma Analog, Sigma Digital, Z Anaconda (3) power cables

Mapleshade Samson V.3 four shelf solid maple rack, Micropoint brass footers

Dy-um, Bud. That was one expensive mistake. Ouch.

I'd venture to say that you will not do that ever again.

Yes. Nothing. Stupid operator error. I swapped the power from the wall with no help. However, each amp is plugged into a Denali 2000 power conditioner, and the cable from the Denali appears to have come loss. I will find out when it gets here if that was the issue. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Retirement is making my brain lazy. :)

Don't be too hard on yourself Bud, this kinda stuff happens to all of us Seniors, pretty much on a regular basis ;)

Better send the other one in for a checkup too. You know, just to make sure they're exactly even.

Not anywhere as expensive but I just couldn't believe my RT55s didn't put out the bass they used to after hooking them back up after a long hiatus.

I'll skip the part about me selling them and the guy returning them saying his Bose 301s were much better.

I laid awake that night thinking wow, the guy was right...no bass to speak of.

I thought, did I hook ones' wires backward?

    YEP. :s:D I think I was around 52 then.

I just thought about my bumbling of switching wires from the back of my JVC 3pr. speaker capable receiver yesterday. What a head shaker that was. There seems to be more age reminders each and every year. But it's still better than the alternative! ;):)

As long as we learn from our mistakes, they're just lessons. B)

We all do that at times. I work with a lot of kids,, they would have just left it.
When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.

Amp showed up a few minutes ago. I will try to get into the system tomorrow, but it depends on how much beer I have tonight. :)

I would have had a couple of drinks and got started moving.

Nothing a drink or two can’t fix.

Tonight’s flavor. Been a long week.

I’m so glad this work week is over. Seems like the longest week.

Back on topic. Bud I hope you get it back in place and working as expected.

I have to admit that I am getting used to listening to the sound bar for music. I have started thinking about how I can improve it without breaking the bank.

Glad you got the amp back. I thought you had Aerial Acoustic speakers for the HT system?

Just put the amp into the rack. Thanks to my neighbor for helping me get it from the garage to the living room. Got it onto the bottom shelf, hooked up, and powered on. After it warms up I will test it. Hopefully, tonight will be a beer and music night. It has been a while. :)
