It has to do with engaging in conversations without getting your feelings hurt, listening to opposing points of view without resorting to profane personal insults or fleeing to a safe space, and realizing that the world should not be expected to bend to you and your will.

    Kex, why are you here?

You rarely - IF EVER - talk about audio. You stick your nose into things you should not. You are a highly opinionated *fill in the blank* and you still owe certain members of this forum a sincere apology for almost thwarting their chance to listen to a demo program.

If ever there was someone so damned dense in this world that they could not take a hint to STFU? Here is your hint, stated bluntly.

Most of us here are like family. You are like the fly buzzing around at the family reunion, annoying everyone and generally just being a PIA for absolutely no reason.

If we are losing fine long-time members like @cfrizz, then Club Polk has problems that should be addressed reasonably, not flippantly.

Not to make light of this, but she is honestly one of many who fell off the planet for their own reasons (I can name a dozen off the top of my head). In the majority of cases, we will never really know why, but sometimes that's just the way it goes.
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

Bottom line, it's Cathy's choice. Whatever reason she has for bouncing is her own. She doesn't need to share it, she didn't even need to tell anyone she was peacing out. It's her prerogative, her choice. She's handled it like an adult. I can't speak for the rest of you but for me, I respect her choice. Do I wonder why? Sure, it's only human. But I may never get an answer to that and the only thing I can do about that is accept it and move on.

If it ends up being a temporary thing and she comes back, great! If not, it's sad but if she's grown past this community in her life then she's gotta do what's good for her.

Maybe she got fed up with stuff? That's entirely possible.

But one thing I know about Cathy is that she doesn't get forced out of anywhere. She wants to be there, she is there until SHE doesn't want to be. Nobody else has or ever could make that choice for her.

Yeah, that didn't work out so well when the forum converted over to Vanilla...we lost a big chunk of the community

People come and go for many different reasons. Don't assume it's all because the forum members pushed someone out. Some disappear for years then come back, no other reason other than their lives just got too busy. Things settle down and they have time to pick up audio again, they resurface. No biggie....if Cathy ever decided to show up again, we'd all welcome her back.

Nothing wrong with my self esteem, my friend, far from it! 😉

Stirring the pot is not my intended goal, but I also don’t follow tin pot despots with bind devotion either.

It’s just spirited discussion, that seems to really get some sheeples panties all bundled up. 😔

That awkward moment when everyone knows it’s you.... except you.

We all know, and you’ll figure it out someday

That's funny. You are the one who consistently posts about how people should post and what they should posts about, staying on topic, blah, blah, blah.

I just asked a simple question that Kex should be able to answer.

I was not even involved in the moderator thread, nor would I want to be a moderator here at CP. No anger, no aggression, just asking a simple question and I believe we have gotten our answer.

You are just here to troll, stick your nose into other people's business and become one of the latest useless Polk Audio Forum SJW's. You are unreal dude. You must make your mother proud that you have risen to become the village *fill in the blank*.

I'm of the view that Cathy left because she missed the good old days of the Henchmen.

When men were men, not whimperung fops and women were women, feminine yet pioneer strong.

    Yep, that's what it was.
