If any of you ever frequented either of the Carver audio forums, you’ve likely come into contact with a fine gentleman named Wayne, who went by “Kingman”.

Sadly, Wayne passed away this afternoon from complications from pneumonia.

Wayne, like so many that frequent these forums, had a huge heart, and was always willing to help fellow audio enthusiasts in any way he could. He was a good friend, and he will be missed....

Wayne was always a pleasure to be around and I thought very highly of him. His passing saddens me. My sincere condolences to Tammy and his family.

I found this out yesterday as well, sad day. May you RIP good friend.

Mark, did you ever have a chance to meet him?

I feel for Tammy. Not only does she have to deal with the loss of Wayne but now she has a plethora of gear she probably has no clue of what to do with. He had closet fulls of gear, not to mention multiple rigs throughout the house.

But of course. Every year at CF. I think Wayne enjoyed himself every time to the max!

And I suspect he worked the same way...to the max. That to me is the most disturbing part, working hard your life away. Getting to the point of being able to retire and then not having hardly anytime to enjoy it.

Makes ya want to just park in front of the system and turn it UP!

Haha, I was referring to DDJ. I know you met him. LOL

That was my thought too. I could have sworn he just retired last year. I do know that it wasn't too gawd awful long ago. I will say this....he lived his life the way HE wanted to!

At CF....Bob in the background with Peggy and Al. Tammy is by his side, as usual.

Sadly I never got to meet him face to face. We exchanged several PMs and a few phone calls.

As an aside, my new job has me traveling A LOT, so I’m making it a point to connect with as many friends on these forums as I travel.
