my wife and I watched it last weekend...not a bad movie I guess...thought the ending was a little hokey...

Sound quality and video quality on the DVD were both pretty good...watched it the same night I watched Resident Evil 2...

I like it. I'll probably be buying this one, too. It should've been longer, though, with better character development. Alien 3 was probably my favorite out of all of them.

Oh no!! If that's all on one disc, we'll probably have a crappy bit rate. :(

That's odd. Last week I was reading how it was coming out in a 2 disk set but picked it up today... only one. Oh well, I never give a damn about the special features unless it frees up more room for better audio/video of the original movie. Anyhow, great movie. Kinda liked the new opening scene.

Is the new beginning all there is to this extended edition? I picked it up last night, but I've only watched the first 15 minutes or so. Was there even any point to the new beginning? We already knew what happened to these people from dialogue in the rest of the movie. If that's it, then I'm very disappointed...

that's it! I was disappointed as well but oh well. Still a great movie. I was even more pissed off when I thought it was going to have some new ending. Then I reread the box after I watched it and said Alternate Beginning. RETARDED! Oh well, good flick and great SQ.

Sweet movie, if you were a fan of the original Alien and Predator movies, then you will like it.

The last 10 seconds of the alternate beginning is going in my demo. I thought my room was going to blow up from the "Bass Slap". I turned the Oink down a couple notches after that.

PQ is pretty good. DTS track was dynamic (as usual). There were some more good bass hits but I don't want to give too much away yet.

    Regards,
    PT

Well...The acting in this movie was deplorable. Not sure how I feel about the rest of it and I'm a fan of both series. SQ and PQ were good though.

I certainly wasn't expecting it to be in Oscar contention, but it was enjoyable. I just buy, no renting here, and at least it's not worthy of a yard burning.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
