So I need a small form factor setup that I can run a optic out from a TV to to power two or three small speakers. Would like to have the front stage. Left, Center and Right and a small powered sub.

Again needs to be small. Not standard HTR.

Can anyone recommend a piece gear that can do this in a small package?

Something like the size of a Parasound ZAmp?

Thanks
Chris

I’m sorry I am not aware of anything that small that is 5.1. Marantz slimline or comparable from Yamaha or Cambridge is the smallest I know of. But I have to ask, is the center channel necessary in the small space? I run 2.1 now on the living room and master bedroom and have not missed the center. Ymmv...If hearing dialogue is the problem, then yes, perhaps a soundbar is the ticket...

    Game Room 5.1.4:
Denon AVR-X4200w; Sony UBP-x700; Definitive Technology Power Monitor 900 mains, CLR-3000 center, StudioMonitor 350 surrounds, ProMonitor 800 atmos x4; Sub - Monoprice Monolith 15in THX Ultra

I was trying to avoid a sound bar but I'm ok with it possibly being the only option at this point.

    Thanks guys!

Agree....I have a mini 3.1 Polk RM system in our small TV room and find myself flipping the AVR to stereo quite often.

So I guess it's going to be a soundbar. It will make a clean install in a difficult spot and I suppose it will sound ok.

We got one from Polk that has a wireless sub. Very respectable... I wrote a review around here somewhere

Yea with all the problems seen here from Polk soundbars it would be my last resort. I have 3 friends who bought from Amazon polk sound bars all 3 DOA and well do we even need to go into any sort of support from Polk CS...ahem I mean Denon support the worst in the nation for going on a close to 20+years.

Good to know guys. Thanks. I may go with Yamaha or JBL.

A wireless sub would be great.

Based on the dealer formerly known as Dskip’s recommendation I have been tempted to get one of these even though I have no use for it lol...

Normally I’d agree, however mine is one of the older(ish) ones and We’ve had no issues.

It doesn’t have lots of fancy options but man does it work.

    Signs S1 I think...

Many sound bars could fit. You did not mention budget but as you move up in quality/price you will be surprised at the performance you might see in a solution that could seamlessly fit in. This is what I have done. Works great and have not looked back.
2 Channel Rosso Fiorentino Volterra II, 2 REL Carbon Limited, Norma Revo IPA-140B, Lumin U2 Mini, VPI Prime w/SoundSmith Zephyr MIMC, Modwright PH 150, Denon DP-59l w/Denon DL-301MKII, WAY Silver 3 Ana+ Speaker Cables, WAY Silver 4+ Interconnect Cables, AudioQuest Niagara 7000 w/Dragon and Hurricane Power Cables

I use a sound bar (Samsung MS650) on my 65” TV in the office room. It actually works pretty good. Now I rarely watch my 75” HT with the surround sound system.

It will be a 55 inch tv wall mounted up high and tilted down.

    Budget of about $225.00.

    Thanks
