Cambridge Streamer

Black Cambridge Audio 851N Streamer/Preamp/DAC for sale. I just purchased this from Skip on 12/4, he purchased it new and used it once for the Polkfest event in November.

FedEx took their sweet time getting it to me, so it's only been in my system for the past 4 days. In like new condition with original double box and all accessories. No issues or flaws whatsoever, and everything works perfectly. @dr1978 just recently purchased my CXN V2 and can attest to the condition I keep my gear in.

Paid $1,160, looking for a Polkie Price of $1,000 shipped (insured) to you. Thanks.

Quick turn, but killer price! I'm sure this will move quickly.

That I can, if it weren't for a couple dinged corners on the box from shipping, there would have been no way to know that it wasn't brand new. Still haven't put it into my system since its going to be a gift from Santa, but I can't wait!

Maybe a legitimate question after owning it for just 4 days? Did you just decide to go in a different direction for a streamer?

My reason for selling is that I would rather have $1,000 instead of a Cambridge 851N.

You posted in the "What happened to DSkip" thread asking people to be respectful and not pass judgment. Looks like you should follow your own advice. I agree that gyosa asked a legitimate question (I was wondering the same thing) and did not deserve your harsh and sarcastic response.

In any event, GLWTS. It is a nice item at a good price.

@Clipdat serious question: what's wrong with it? I always wondered if I should have gotten the 851 instead of the CXN. Are you in someway unhappy with the unit or do you just need the money for more important stuff like lap dances?

Since the sarcasm is running deep in this one. I know I'm not alone in saying this. The only way I pay full price for gear is full 360 degree photos, up close front and back. Pics of any damage. Picture of accessories, boxes, etc.

A single poor photo, the most I would pay is 50% to 70% of market value to account for what ifs.

No photos, depending on the seller, I would only consider 10% to 50% of market value.

Not to crap on your thread, but how hard is it to take the piece of gear out, clean it up. Snap 10 cell phone pics and then put it back in the box? Pics from the person you bought it from are meaningless even if it is the same.

Best of luck and all the best.

We're all guilty of commenting in for sale threads as if to start some sort of conversation so maybe a learning experience to the OP?
I owned the 851N and loved it. The seller here is a great guy and if he says it's like new it is like new. If someone is interested PM Drew and work it out. A great deal from a great member.
