Farewell

Good morning everyone,

I have some news to share. After 7 years of service, yesterday was my last day with Sound United. It has been a great pleasure over the last few years getting to know everyone on the Forum. I know we always didn't see eye to eye, but we always made it work.

I don't know who will be looking over the Forum and moderating it, but that is now a problem for SU to figure out. They know they need someone, but I don't believe it is top of mind. So I'm sorry you wont have someone to escalate issues to at the moment. Kim Jasper still works in customer service in Baltimore so he will be able to assist with that like normal but as for a contact in the Global Headquarters I don't have an answer for who that may be.

Once I get all setup and moved in back in Baltimore I will send a picture of my setup, I'm sure everyone has wondered what kind of rig I have.

I hope everyone well and wish everyone the best.

Thank you!

Ken Carter

Good luck my friend... as for the rig, we always assumed it was a Hello Kitty boombox with a Fisher-Price turntable. ;)

Ken - I haven't been around long enough to know the full value you have offered to everyone here, but I will say thank you because I have seen you step in to take care of things as needed. Hopefully your next career move is a great improvement and allows you to get the most out of your professional life and let you remain in the audio hobby.

Looking forward to seeing your set up too!

Best of luck in whatever you do.

Here's an idea, maybe ask the powers that be to give "temporary" mod status to a few
of the people that expressed interest in doing it?
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

Wow. I was not implying they have permanent, heavy-handed absolute dictator status, but maybe the ability to remove some of the junk spam threads that have been popping up? Sort of a "rule by committee" thing.

You have any better ideas, let's see 'em. :)

Face it @la2vegas we need to have someone to at the least trash the spam that has absolutely littered the landscape here if you can't get on board with that then you're deaf and dumb to the bigger problem. I do not know about you but I'm reading here in this thread that our one last guy is walking out the door. Kim Jasper is a great guy but his hands are absolutely full with customer service problems we can probably all agree on should take a front seat to this.
