RT1000 amp problem
Hi all. I have an RT1000 (black drivers) that has a loud as all heck buzz/hum. The interesting thing with it is that the hum/buzz only hits when there is audio initially piped to the speaker (no lfe/sub input plugged in). So if the speaker is just plugged in, no problem. When audio starts give it about 3 seconds and the a floor shaking hmmmmmmmmm/bzzzz! The only way to stop it is to unplug the speaker. Is this a fix any mortal can handle? I don't know about caps/etc., but any given tutorial I can generally follow with ease. I know my RT55's and a sub would be a better bet, but after not playing them for many years and recently giving them a listen they both sound like their crossovers are shot. So the RT1000s first and then we'll move on to the 55's then the 12C.
