I fell for that kind of chick the first time around.... I'm a little more cautious now.

I have seen on TV tea aficionados that bluntly and confidently state that any "American Tea" is a disgrace to tea drinkers around the world.....and that we have desecrated what a tea should taste like.
I don't know and I don't care. I really don't like tea "that" much. I usually drink it hot and poison it with this thing they call Splenda (just a little bit).
Across the big pond, I am sure tea lovers hate me. They need to know in advance that I don't give a damn.
I am curious.....those people also mentioned that real English tea isn't readily available in whole leaf here in the states. This was a couple of years ago. Has anything changed?

Never developed a taste for tea. Hot, cold, sweet.. None did anything for me.

This is the only type of tea I can stand. I'm not even kidding.

Tom I think you know I’m a nut for food and finer tastes from around the globe. Try the PG tips or Typhoo. Should have it at Publix. I KNOW you will like it.

The PG Tips and Typhoo I have got in the last few, well maybe 10
years, have not compared to what I remember growing up in England. Maybe it's different in the UK too - I dunno. I get my tea now in my local Indian shop (sorry, PC, South Asian
) -it's Tea India brand Orange Pekoe, and tastes the real deal. "English" tea is Indian tea. -
I too grew up there (Birmingham until 1986) and the PG I get tastes pretty good to me. *shrug*

Yea, it may be what I remember is better than it actually was. I haven't been back "home" for 20 years, and the last time I want, my immediate craving was for breakfast, and the bacon was just OK and the sausages too bready from what I'm now used to.
My condolences on growing up in Birmingham. Just kidding - I'm a Londoner and have to say that about anybody north of Watford. -

I'll try it out. We have a Publix's about 3 miles away from me. Thanks,
