    I appreciated your thoughts regarding my other post !

    I looked online at the D1 you mentioned...I likey ...
    Then I thought to myself - well maybe the U1 mini would definitely be a better choice ..... lack of WiFi and a physical volume knob was problematic , although I could hardwire it if need be or use a WiFi extender...but no optical or coax Input on either one.

    Then I saw the 851n was available as a refurb from Cambridge- 900 scheckels ....
    Couldn’t resist .....

    If I don’t like it , I can return it and look at a Lumin.....

    The plan is to use the Cambridge for Tidal , plug the wxc-50 into the 851 via optical or coax , and use the wxc-50 for SIRIUSXM streaming through the 851 - which I listen to a lot ....

    My dilemma was I wanted a quality streamer that gave me both Tidal and SIRIUSXM- the only 2 things I listen to ....
    Hopefully using the 851’s DAC and preamp to stream the horribly compressed SIRIUSXM will be satisfactory....

    We shall see ....

    Congrats. Love mine. Using it as a pre seemed a little too bright for me but you may have different results with your equipment. I really enjoy using Tidal via my laptop and a USB cable.

    Was supposed to be delivered yesterday .....
    After sitting in Pennsylvania for the last 6 days , UPS admitted they “lost” it ......

    Hopefully a replacement will be shipped soon .....

    So glad you are still digging it brother. I enjoyed my time with the 851N too. Great way to get an idea of how streamers work for sure and the app is pretty user friendly too.

    Thanks! Got em on eBay, just do a search for sofa legs, metal, and there are a bunch of different types. I like these as they have threads on the bottom for the included feet, but you could spike em too!

    @Verb Thanks, been using heavy 1/2" hairpin style legs of different heights because of my wife's preference but those look pretty cool.

    Do you have tidal settings set to take control of volume in windows? Have you done a side by side comparison of the SQ of the Cambridge app vs the windows app?

    Cambridge Audio doesn't have a windows app. The Tidal windows app is far more user friendly. As for the difference between the two sound quality wise, I haven't critiqued the two.

    I tend to agree with @Clipdat, accept when the comparison costs nothing but a little time. I assume you have a smartphone or tablet? The Cambridge app is designed for mobile devices. If it were me I would be curious to try both methods, but hey again if you're happy rock on.

    Verb, I've seen the sofa legs on several websites including eBay. I am interested in where you buy the butcher block to make them. Online? I need to make a riser stand that is about 48 inches wide. It may require legs in the middle too. Thanks in advance.
