...on staycation here in balmy Virginia Beach.

Day 1.
Errands run.
Lawn mowed.
Edging of weedy lawn continues to be satisfactorily pleasing.
Responsibilities addressed early.
Sol.
I don't even mind the moh-skwitto bites. But that could be the Sol...

I think I want a Fluance. you jerks. ( @scubalab @halo @chumlie ) Hurry up and get yours set up so I can live vicariously through you. I've not time for vinyl in recent months, in spite of what that koozy may indicate (that shop sucks, btw. don't go there)

PS. Beer in cans just doesn't seem to get as cold as bottles. I'm never doing that again.

your lawn looks greener than ours does at the moment -- we had a coupla weeks of hot, dry weather, and some of mine's gone dormant.. and some has been infiltrated by the dread crabgrass :o

PS AFAIK the Fluance branded tts are pretty generic Chinese product, if that makes you feel any better. :|

EDIT OK maybe it is made in Canada -- still they're pretty generic :#
EDIT^2: "Assembled overseas" -- ostensibly Taiwan (supposedly per the carton)... so, maybe Hanpin, but I think there's at least one other Taiwanese tt OEM. :*

Ya Horng is (ostensibly) the OEM for the Fluance tts. Not that I'm obsessed or anything B)

Smidge of proto-processing there, Doc :) lotsa rain here lately, and I've got healthy green weeds but not that green! Hehe, I love when you go off on Hanpin lol
Wherever they're born, they sure are beautiful. I'd like to pick up a black 85 sometime down the road, I think. A little Technic-sy influence, but still simple.

    Couldn't agree more, Dave!
Life as an adult is complicated. And kids rush to this?!?

Yeah! I was off 3 days last week, back to work today and having to explain why some assignments did not get completed as my team was supposed to have done. Ugh. I get the Iook like "don't you dare say you were on vacation" as an excuse. Ugh. Work.

BTW Scott, how many days you off?

Instead of buying a turntable, buy this mosquito mass murderer and put it in your front yard: http://www.mosquitomagnet.com/mosquito-magnet-patriot-plus-mosquito-trap-mm4200b

Ha! I have my version of that. Almost makes it not worth taking time off, doesn't it? ALmost.

The plan is two weeks, with one week of that to catch up on some sleep and see to some personal business, projects and such, and it's busy so far. And then I'll try that vacation thing on week 2. I'm a beginner though, and will probably fail at it. I've never done anything like this before. Only read about it, heard about it, or seen it in the movies. Seems like a neat idea, though, spending time somewhere away from work?

Indeed, sir. Well, at least so far? :) Haven't started yet, hence the little break. In September, I will begin working at a different donut shop for a while, and see how that works out.

    Tricky business, donuts.
