Don't you need something like this to combat DC on the AC? https://emotiva.com/collections/accessories/products/cmx-2

IF the goal is removal of a DC offset from the AC mains... an isolation transformer (i.e., any transformer with inductively-coupled primary and secondary windings -- as opposed to an autoformer) will isolate any DC riding on the input from the output.

You can use any 1:1, isolating transformer of sufficient VA capacity to eliminate a DC offset on an AC line.

Something like this is handy for low-medium power requirements. I think I paid $30 for this at a radio fleamarket. Note that, besides providing isolation of the load from the AC mains, this doohickey also provides some limited, fixed adjustment of the output voltage (90 to 140 VAC, based on a nominal 120 VAC input) -- i.e., some of the functionality of a Variac, but with the added benefit of isolation. Variacs are variable autoformers, and as such do not isolate the load from the AC mains.

The isolated outlets are rated for up to 350 VA at 140 VAC (350 VA is equal to 350 watts
if the power factor of the load is 1).

ain't that cool?! Picked that up at some fleamarket or another. Pretty serious variable resistor; if I had two, I think they'd be excellent in a crossover network :)

My tv buzzes and so does my sub. I think the buzz in the sub is coming from the amp. It ticks me off.

Isn’t that what the ipurifier is supposed to be doing?

I don't think so (?) I thought they were for noise.

Yes, the blurb seems to support the notion that they are noise filters of some sort.

It draws from French military engineering. 'nuff said. :#

    Better than French social engineering.
