Hurricane Nuts - Where to Buy Screws

I've got some VR3 Mods X crossovers on the way to me and am considering installing Hurricane Nuts when I re install the speakers on my 2.3's. I read through most of the threads on which H nuts to use but I was wondering where everyone is getting the screws for the them. WMG suggsets #8-32 Torx Head Black Oxide Cap screws or Phillips Pan Head Blk Oxide SS, but I am looking for suggestions on where to get them. Also what length is best? Is 11/2"too long? I see PE sells a Speaker Mounting kit Part 260-779 but it comes with 1 1/2 " length screws. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

1" long cap head or pan head #8-32 can be bought at Menards and Lowes as well as Fastenal. 1 1/2 wont hurt but is un-needed. Your best bet for a box is Fastenal. I like the hex bit as they are more common but I get why WMG likes the torx it is able to take more torque without stripping. My local building stores rarely have more than a dozen on hand at any one time.

I went with the Phillips pan head as it looks more original...

Socket cap screws are manly, the rest are wimpy.

Home Improvement stores like Home Depot and Lowe's don't stock them. An actual hardware store like Ace Hardware has them.

    Thanks for everyone's input.
Looks like Amazon has the #8-32 X 1 inch Pan Cap Black Oxide- about $9 for 50.

I'm just messing around with you, but honestly think the cap screws present a more up to date look.

I started out with socket cap but switched because i liked that the pan head style caught more metal it seemed to me.

Agree with the socket caps. I used them as well. Better grip when driving em, no slipping and thus jacking up the finish! IMO, of course!

Has anybody tried brass? I was thinking it would look nice matching my spikes but worry if it would look a little "busy" with all of the drivers and tweeters in my 1.2tl's.
