    The Fireplace has to go!

why is it that ever house I've ever looked at has a fireplace where I would want to put my 2 channel gear???? I hate fireplaces ...if I want to build a fire i will do it camping out at the lake.

I'm gonna guess the speakers up by the ceiling on top of the built-ins.. I don't know where the audio components are located, but I'm not sure it really matters.

My neighbor put some B&W 608 or 9s up like that in his office to keep floor space for other things. I told him it was sacrilegious to do that to B&Ws but he doesn't give a s**t about fine audio. Not one bit. he's probably 55 now I guess. They're probably still up there like those martin logans are and it's been 10+ years now since he found them on the side of the road just off of our street. A college kid left them for the trash man. :s

The chair in the sweet spot needs to turn a little more than 90 degrees clockwise for optimum imaging.

I love the thought of having a vacuum cleaner handy. Great for the quick clean up before guests come...

Looks like my hifi room would if I tidied up a bit B)

Speaking of vacuum cleaners --we had some friends over yesteday, and the conversation drifted onto vacuum cleaners*.

I opined that it seems to me that there's an inverse correlation between the number of vacuum cleaners in a household and the cleanliness of the household.

By my count, including a shop vac, we have six.

    I rest my case.

Just for the record, I vacuumed my whole house and back porch yesterday.

    But not the cottage. :D

... and I vacuumed on Thursday (because of the aforementioned company that was coming). :|

Didn't vacuum the hifi room -- I like the smell of the warm dust on the vacuum tubes too much. Takes me back to my childhood.
