Sound Bar/Rear Speakers from Dish

Options
Hey everyone,
We just purchased the Polk surround system through Dish - the sound bar, wireless rear speakers, and subwoofer. (DSB1, DSB2, DSB3) Is it possible for the rear speakers to play the same sound as the sound bar instead of surround sound? The "guide" that came with the equipment is really just a sheet of paper with instructions for set-up and I can't seem to find anything online. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

Try the manual downloadable from this page. Same product, I think. The D just stands for Dish. https://www.polkaudio.com/products/sb1-plus/support

Thanks - that's a slightly different system than what we have. I tried calling Polk yesterday. I received a call back 90 minutes after my initial call. The person said they had to transfer me to another department, I was transferred and promptly hung up on... sigh. I'll keep trying.

    Hello,
Let me ask a friend at Polk to contact you via email.

We just got ours (sound bar) through Dish. Turned TV on this AM and bar didn't come on. I thought it became 'unpaired" so I went through the steps in the booklet. Still nothing but 2 white lights? Any thoughts?

Kinda an old thread , but Dishuser did you find a solution, don't care for the setup like this.

try switching your device of choice to output PCM rather than dolby or whatever. If it is Dolby 5.1 then the SoundBar will expect there to be material dedicated for the surround speakers which is why you may not hear things from the surround speakers at times.

I believe PCM may get you the result you are looking for

How do I change the output on my DBR1 soundbar (dish tv)? My satellite speakers don’t always have surround sound coming out of them.
