Great price for new. I loved mine. Sold to move to 705’s because of kids. Huge heavy bookshelf speakers with the right stands will not disappoint.
Love yours. D

I wonder if I should buy a pair of these to replace the pair that I have that have VR3 custom modified xovers in them...Right now they are in my HT which is prolly wasting them. @VR3 made only 1 pair of these I believe and he added some new terms to his vocab I am told when he made them. Honestly they do sound incredible as 2 channel bookies but are being wasted in my HT system. Trey put a lot of sweat into these and as I recall he went balls out on the parts when he did the job only to find out that he would never do it again.

There are so many parts to that crossover, there are things shoved everywhere in that stack. But they did indeed sound fantastic!

Way too much $$$ in to them. They do deserve better than HT sides tho.

One could argue that even standard 703s deserve "better" than being relegated to side duty, so I bet these modded ones indeed beg for more.

Anyway, that's a good price as always from Adorama. ;)

Yeah, those need to be in a critical 2 ch system. That is a lot of work for HT as the OEM already do a good job.

They were intended for 2 ch. But when I sold my old house i sold the LSi HT rig (with a Yammie receiver not the Marantz AVP and Sunfire TG7401) I was able to parlay that into an LSIM setup that I didnt have to move because polk shipped it all for free during the Nov '14 F&F sale to my new home in FL. The buyer paid me $3K for the old 7.1 rig. which included an OPPO BDP-93 and I think I paid less than $3K for the LSIm setup....Now they sit as the L & R's in my HT rig.

I honestly feel like Polk designed the lsim series to discourage modding. The entire line is built in such a way that is a real pita.

Yeah, I've taken a 706 apart. As big as that speaker is it still would be a challenge to put that size crossover in attached to the original plate.

^^^ There you go! Then maybe consider something dynamic like a matched front three or five with something like the HSU CCB-8?
