I still can't post a new discussion. My PC looses the internet windows. I'm still connected but any window I have open...disappears for good until I click back on them. So this is about that Sony ES receiver I posted about in the POST A PICTURE thread. Here's the scenario about it today...I was going to put it in a "needs an elec. prof. to look at area" but I JUST HAD TO HOOK UP JUMPERS AGAIN to reaffirm it wasn't the missing jumpers that is the reason for no sound. The receiver is like new and I just couldn't believe it didn't work with jumpers installed!

That Sony STR-6ESII receiver is working now. :):p

I thought I'd try again with putting jumper cables where there was supposed to be some for functionality. I had put cables across the jacks the other night and I got nothing. So either the other cables are completely bad ( which I doubt highly ) or I was doing something stupid after they were in place to get no sound. This receiver is powerful and basic. It does have a bass boost button that increases the bass pretty well. This receiver is like new too, BUT it was filthy when I bought it along with some other things like that Monster Power conditioner and indicator. I'm smiling!

I love it when things become alive again! It's like in that Bride of Frankenstein movie where the scientist gets crazy and says " It's alive...IT'S ALIVE!" That's what I just felt like. :DB)

I missed a great bargain because I don't receive texts.

So you're saying that Marantz 2270 could've been yours?

    Yep,but it isn't because... well, I'm a moron. ;)
    Sent text at 9 AM,
    Ad deleted at 1 PM,
reply by the other guy was at 1:30. Could've used that sooner man! Lol.
There will be more deals. Or not, and I'll eventually bite the bullet and buy a Marantz when I have enough money burning a hole in my pocket. :D

I texted the wrong number. So I was the big doofus who caused the lack of Marantz gear in my room right now. :/

OMG that McIntosh receiver looks great. So does that amp!
I'll bet it will be priced real low too!

How about these clocks? Are they special for him or her to have 4 of them with a corvette model? I just noticed the far left one looks like a tach with an odometer at the bottom. Maybe a speedometer?

Maybe a bit of a project but seems like a pretty good deal. Marantz 4300 Quad and 4 Bose 901's including the EQ.

All of these look to be out of some kind of older vehicle with their mounting brackets.

I heard the new version of them when we were in Norway and they were phenomenal.
If I had the money and was closer I wouldn't hesitate to pay a LOT for them. I think 8-9k list price?
