Speaker Dust Caps

Hi All

The dust caps on my Linn's are crumbling down I will order replacements tomorrow. Now what is the best way to remove the old glue?


AMP- Parasound 2125, Adcom 585
Mains for HT and some Music- RTi12s

    I'd take an exact-o down to where you're comfortable, then use the remaining glue as a placement guide and glue back in.

    I've been very successful at razor x then just peeling the old off. (paper cone) Making sure you hold the cone so you don't pull up over the pole piece. Is the cone and cap plastic? Careful it can be very brittle and cutting very close like @FestYboy suggests might be best
