Gonna make this quick, as it was not an in depth listen nor at my own home, but went to a friends that had owned older Polks, and found they replaced them with the S60 Pair.

Not gonna give tons of details, as I was not familiar with hearing even their vintage Polks IN their home, but found the S60's to sound Very good to Excellent. Surpassing what I had imagined.
No boomy bass, not overly exaggerated highs, but just clean and clear sound, that was hard to really fault. Not saying perfect mind you, but a very smooth balanced sound.

Deep bass was pretty decent, but not spectacular as with my subs.
Overall impressive and they look good also.

Hard to beat the S60's at their price point, and even beyond. Excellent all around sound for a modest investment and they respond very well to equipment upgrades.

Glad you got your ears on them

When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.

I also really like my S60's. Still happy with these 2 years later.
2 channel: Anthem 225 Integrated amp; Parasound Ztuner; TechnicsTT SL1350; Vincent PHO-8 phono pre; Marantz CD6005 spinner; Polk SDA2BTL's; LAT International speaker cables, ZU Mission IC's and power cables all into a PS Audio Dectet Power center.

Other; M10 series II, M7C's, Hafler XL600 amp, RB-980BX, Parasound HCA-1500 amp , P5 preamp, all in storage. All vintage Polk have had crossover rebuilds and tweeter upgrades.
