My Son, New York, and Nine Inch Nails..

Options
So my son flew in from Brooklyn NY last week for us to see the NIN concert on Tuesday night, on Wednesday he wanted to go look at cars, he is 28 and never owned a car, he packed up when he turned 18 and moved to NY, and has been there since, and and having a car out there has it's pros and cons IMO, well getting back to looking at cars he falls in love with this 2018 Mazda Miata, we take it for a test drive, next thing I know he is going to buy it and drive it back home to NY, and ate the cost of the plane ticket back home..

Took him three days but he finally made it back home, needless to say he had no problems till he crossed over into NY and got pulled over, cops said they couldn't see his temp tag.. (rolls eyes)..

I thought he was crazy but what fun it must have been to break in your first/new car in with a long a$$ road trip...

My son too lives in Brooklyn. He’s 30 and never owned a car. The company he works for gives him comp for subway use. City life I guess. Certainly not for me being in the biz and a car fanatic!

BTW that Miata sounds like a good choice for tooling (pun intended) around the city!

hope it's got a manual transmission, 'cuz if it does, in 2018 it should be virtually theft proof, even in NYC ;)

The Miata is a fun little car. All my family is from NY or NJ. I have to say 80% have never owned or driven a car.

Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant

Ya, well, the black color is only going to bother him if he wants to keep the car looking clean. lol. That’s a heck of a good looking little zoom zoom machine!

Shouldn't be necessary on a brand new vehicle. As time and contaminants accrue, yes, most definitely.

And a hobby too, I have two. I wash them, look at them for 5 minutes and wash again. They look so good when clean though.

I like the looks, just wish they were more original than copying the Jaguar F-Type.

Considering that Ian Callum was the design chief for Ford’s premier group, and penned the seed-car of AM’s current design principles, as well as Jaguar’s... I do agree.
