Getting sticker shock on the price of subwoofer risers, I ended up buying a dozen hockey pucks for $18. Need ti get it up off carpet and should work fine.
Russian hockey pucks tend to be the preferred combination of density and polymer blend, particularly at the sub-atomic level, where micro-acoustic properties come into play. The ones found at Chernobyl tend to put off unwanted sonic artifacts however, such as increased background noise.

ahem -- in our abode, of course, vintage pucks are de rigueur.
In seriousness, I am a big fan.
These are good, too, for the $ and FWIW. Available in various sizes and thicknesses.
If one is feeling a tad insecure vis-a-vis one's audiophile cred, they're also available with slightly different cosmetics as audio products at a much higher price.
I know folks with turntables more valuable than my car (actually, probably more valuable than all of our cars put together) that use 'em as opposed to the name brand
In my more febrile moments I wonder whether Rockler's Bench Cookies have any application in hifi...
I bought some of these and gave some of them to an old friend to use as risers. I didn't buy them for vibration control at all, just for risers.
They come in "Black" just for the home user. That's the color I bought. They were on sale too.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.
I am offended by the word puck, though I use one similar frequently.

SO, while your setting Canadian or Czech pucks under your gear, are you pucking around for sound?

Ok, first of all, the pucks smelled great! Never smelled a freshly minted hockey puck before. Second, got the sub about an inch up off the carpet and tightened things up a bit. Well, that's about it.

I don’t think I have ever read a more thought provoking and in depth review of anything ever in my lifetime. I found your comment about the aroma emitted by the pucks to be insightful and pertinent to moving the review forward and compelling enough to pull me in and inspire reading even further. Your methodology for raising the subwoofer just one inch was brilliantly thought out.
You had me hanging on every word as you disclosed your findings of things being “tightened up”... wow!! And not be too much either. Just a bit.... more brilliance!

The scent of hockey pucks being pleasurable or not is relative to the velocity at which it makes contact with your nose.... Talking from experience here....

Route 1/2 round in two use them to clamp things in a vice
A thick heavy durable substrate to pound on and non marring as well.
