He was also in Excalibur in the early 1980s, but I think he was a stage actor doing Shakespeare before that. Great actor's voice.

Is this a thread about Groundhog Day?
Was Sir Patrick (freaking) Stewart in that, or did Shakespeare write it?

    I am confused.

Mark, have you not seen a single episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation? It obviously a highly localized rift in the normal continuum that harbored a causality "time loop"!

30% of their episodes focused on time loops another 30% focused on Data turning evil. They should have just disconnected him and saved themselves a lot of mayhem. The remaining 40% focused on Captain Picard playing the flute, acting in a Shakespearean play, or playing a detective on the holodeck. I love me some Star Trek.

I saw TNG once or twice; we were living in Northern CA in those days and life was pretty hectic.

I do use Capt. Picard in one of my glycobiology course lecture slides; he nicely encapsulates my understanding (at least!) of what biotechnology process development is.

It didn't find it's way until season 3. Then it got good, but by season three they had done away with all the miniskirt uniforms.

    Including the male skirts, thankfully.

... I use a personal favorite Sidney Harris cartoon, too, in the lecture towards which the good Captain is gesticulating... and ordering.
