Are there any good singers these days?

I had to listen to Beyonce while waiting at the car wash the other day. It was rather unpleasant. I was wondering why do people like to listen to her. I guess it's relative, I am not aware of any pop singers that are any good nowadays. I played some Angela Bofil to get the crud out of my ears. She had an amazing voice, something that was not so rare last century. Is there anybody out there? now that yooz find impressive?

That is one wide open question...and I certainly understand where you're coming from. I grew up on pop music when you could still hear and understand most of the words and they weren't just screaming or rapping.
I long for smooth, harmonizing vocals and lean toward Pentatonix, Home Free and Straight no chaser for acappella. check them on you tube if you've not heard of them. Home Free's version of Ring of Fire will test your bass a bit.
I've transitioned from pop/rock to country to get less instruments and more voice in the picture.
Still like the sultry voices of Diana, Eva, and the like. Marc Cohn and similar artists as well as some Christian music that has the balance (to me) of voice and instruments. I'll be checking on this thread to see what others contribute.

I'll admit that I don't love Beyonce's music, but calling her VOICE unpleasant is a rather strange comment. I mean, to some extent all pleasure is subjective, maybe you like to drink motor oil and get punched in the face for fun. But if you're saying that her voice isn't technically proficient, well that would be wrong, unless you only count opera singers as technically proficient (she has a 4 octave range, excellent vibrato, she can belt it out while maintaining excellent tone, etc.). I personally really don't care for operatic singing, My wife is a classically trained vocalist, and when she did musicals/operettas and recitals in college I didn't even love the way she sang those compared to the way she sings when we do pop stuff together, and she's hot and I was in college lol...

So sorry, if opera is your standard then I got nothing...

@rooferto Beyonce couldn't sing if she had Billie Holiday stuck in her throat!

Dude, I was just saying I found nothing interesting nor pleasurable about her singing so you can calm down Jayzee!

Oh and Angela Bofil is not opera.

    No you calm down!!!

So most of the female singers I like are blues/soul/R&B singers. She doesn't have great range, but I really like several of Joss Stone's albums.

Laura Fygi has my heart. I stumbled upon her Bewitched CD at FYE, I cannot stop play it. I'm on the hunt for her other recordings. There are many. Although, her Bewitched cd seems in abundant supply

Adele’s royal Albert hall live disc is MUCH better SQ than the studio versions. Much more dynamic range:
