Summer Concerts

Now that the schedules are mostly set, what is everyone going to? For me so far:
1) Slightly Stoopid, Stick Figure and Pepper
2) Andrea Bocelli at the Hollywood Bowl (I know another Polkie going to this but won't reveal).
Not a lot of commonality I know.

I've seen them a couple times with EWF. Great show, especially when they're all on stage together. Just them on this tour though...

Second half of their tour is with REO, who I saw with Styx and Nugent a few years ago. REO was amazing.
Chicago always brought the goods, but I haven't seen him since my high school chum left the band a couple years ago.

Missed it? That's three days in May in Detroit, more than a month away. They're making it big, going to Europe and Japan in between the US dates. Going to see GVF July 1 at Milwaukee Summerfest.

Was debating this, but I don't know if it would be the same without Walter Becker on stage. :(

We saw Mary Chapin Carpenter a few years ago in a small venue(apprx. 300 people) and it was a most enjoyable evening. I see she is returning so we are booking for sure. The place is so small you feel like you could just reach out and strum her guitar. I hope she minimizes her "hits" and plays the more meaningful music we like.
Yep, my name really is Bob.

I don't look much for shows, I would rather buy their CD's for the money but I may go see Todd, he is always a great show so long as he shuts up and plays.

Robert Plant and the Fabulous Space Shifters on June 26th at The Edgefield (in Troutdale, Oregon) with front row, center tickets. YEAH!

This is the first time I will have seen Plant (live) since The Fate of Nations tour in 1993.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

My buddies are in New Orleans for Jazzfest right now - I couldn’t go this year but plenty of concerts on tap this summer.
