    Words of advice...

    Take this from me...YMMV! (your miles may vary because...you're driving a Pinto, Matador, Yugo or Don't Go...) LOL!

    If you use a 5AR4/GZ34 rectifier tube...get an f31 dated Mullard (fat base) or a Telefunken branded tube...yes I know its subjective...or NOT! These tube types have definitely, in my system, been the best tubes in that position PERIOD.

    and don't get me wrong..I also like the f32 (later 1960+) tubes...they smash any new manufactured tube I've tried for sure...

    just giving you all an opinion....
