Some GREAT news this morning

Options
About 6 months ago my wife goes to the Doctor for a checkup, does the blood draw, not very good numbers :( so we started the gym thing, diet stuff, blah, blah, blah.

Had a follow up visit yesterday and another blood draw.

Just got the results, almost all numbers back in the normal range :) except for the A1C, still a tad high.

I told her that I was so VERY proud of her and that she deserves a new amp.

Yeah, I'm still working on the amp thing.

Awesome news indeed... Congrats to not only the wife, but to you as well - those life changes rarely happen in a vacuum, they take the support of all the people around them. Great team effort!

Thanks, she's really working at it.

Might be a bit off topic as I've not been to the gym in years and I don't want to offend anyone.

Is wearing really skin tight workout pants with no underpants on or so it appears the average workout clothes thing these days?

My bones are probably half dust but come on folks, I don't want to see that..... :o

She always gives me that look and says don't say a word and stop staring. D'oh!!

Maybe I should attach some sort of visual blinders to my headphones :D

    Woo Hoo, just got better.

Got a reminder text the wife has a board meeting tonight. Got the house to myself for the next 8 hours.

Time to pull some gear and get reacquainted with an old friend named rock & roll B)

Congrats, that's awesome news and I'm sure a relief to you both! Our doctor just told my wife her numbers were better than most 18 year olds. Wish I could say the same!

Congrats to your wife. I'm lucky to have been blessed with an insane metabolism because aside from when I was forced to in the military I just don't work out. It's too much work and I'm too lazy.

If I'm not mistaken, the A1C measures blood sugar over the last 3 months. With the current diet/exercise plan, I bet the NEXT A1C will be a lot closer to her goal. :)

Congrats on the good news. I like the fact that you're so willing to reward her with a new amp, that's very considerate of you. I hope she realizes how lucky she is to have you.

Doesn't running into the beer or liquor store 1 min before closing count as exercise?

To the op, congrats. Your bodies are thinking you. Unknowingly so are your family and friends.

Great news, good for you guys!

My A1C numbers were not the best my last visit so I'm trying to do the same for myself and the Mrs. My sedentary lifestyle is to blame plus that layer of belly fat. I'm trying to get a used new to me road bike to get back to the hobby that I used to love.

    Good news indeed.
Funny timing on this post....I went to my first Endocrynologist appt. this week and killed my A1C numbers.... I basically run everyday and make a half hearted attempt to eat healthier.

    Congrats K

Her #'s were not terrible but up a bit, so we decided to get after it.

The diet thing is kind of weird but she is scheduled at a nutritionist for some tips.

    So far so good.
