A pair for M5jrs and something I haven't seen even mentioned before. They are calling it a "center channel". Polk LE 14 with two mid-drivers and a passive woofer.

That is a subwoofer and kinda rare iirc 125 for the whole shebang not too bad. -

It's unfortunate I don't have the spare cash, otherwise, I have a friend down that way that would grab and hold them for me... It's possible they might not sell for a while... *Crosses fingers*

I'm a little partial to these as they were my first 'good' speakers and what got me hooked on Polk Audio. I paid 20+ times that for mine new back in the very early 90s... Man, if I were closer, I'd grab these just for the nostalgia effect! -

Why are the cabinets so darn thick ? Is there a woofer on the back too ? NOPE.
I just read the owners manual online and found a bunch of reasons why it is what it is.
3" thick front baffle for the woofer section or entire front baffle .

And we don't know what the speakers look like either .
I like a good deal and will forgive some blemishes and not even mention them if the price is really low.

Those are SDA2b they rank good BUT in scary condition.
The amp is a good one for a good price BUT will need a recap and completely gone through. Figure another 400 for that. -

Very good price for that amp. I think I paid a bit more than that for a TFM-25x on here in the Flea Market a couple years ago and it was in rough shape (missing rack handles and non-working meter lights).
If you like the Carver sound, go for it. To me, they are a little too bright/harsh as I prefer a warmer sound (Parasound and B&K are what I've come to enjoy). -

I think that IS a good price from all the reviews I've ever read considering Wilson speakers. Reviewers always state the stratospherically high prices but at the end of the reviews...they wish they had the ability to buy the review samples . LOL.

If I was closer.. I noticed a pack of " touch up markers " on the same table. Somebody's doin some touch up on those towers. But they still look great from here !
I always liked Rotel electronics !
And after hearing a set of Polk towers just like those but different series, I was BLOWN AWAY by the huge sound-field they produce and the BASS....WOW. .Impressive !
I would have to hear those powered subs work before I leave and the tweeters too. I bought a set of RTi8's on a table / shelf up in the air. I thought the tweeters were working but they weren't. I wonder if the seller in the ad is doing the same trick .

It's some sort of polymer material. It is so hard that there are special milling tools made for it and they dull fast. It has a single letter designations like material X and M iirc.
