Never heard of Carder Sound, but these look intriguing...

The craftsmanship is beautiful.

Those 4.5 inch speakers definitely have breathing room.

Yeah, I wasn't exactly impressed with how these screws were seated and the varying amount of reveal around the foam part of this cone. :p

Looks, like a 5th, grader made them in wood shop,,
Not an Audiophile, just a dude who loves music, and decent gear to hear it with.

Made for flea watt tubes. Crazy price. Ask yourself would you pay someone to build a set of cabinets for 1600 bucks? There's no crossover sooo you're buying cabinets and a dayton amp for a sub.

Knowing what I paid to have my relatively simple "Baltic birch" plywood vented boxes for the Duplexes built, I am sure that those, which appear to be back-loaded horns of some sort, would cost $1600 to have built if good quality wood were used.

If I read the CL blurb correctly, the white cone Fostex were the stock drivers, and the owner appears to have retrofit them with different drivers ("Omega"). This, I presume, would explain the less-than-stunning aesthetic values shown by photos with the black paper drivers on board. :|

    I wouldn't denigrate 'em before hearing them fed by, e.g., a good single-ended 45
amplifier. This being said, especially with the Fostex drivers, they may be a tad tizzy sounding.

    "Tizzy"?

Pretty sure you just went off the archaic scale with that one.

Looking closer, it very much appears to be photo chopped... I smell fish...
