    These and the 660 S are both leaner sounding than the 580/600/650. They do have more energy up top which excited me as what I wanted was an HD650 with some of the veil lifted. However these go too far in the other direction, sounding a bit lean. Also, even though they are more energetic and may fool some into thinking they have more detail, the detail is about the same as far as I can tell.

    I hate to say it, but I’m disappointed with this and the 660 S. The HD600 is still my personal favorite of theirs.
