Yamaha RX-A1010 and Parasound HCA-1000A

Having recently upgraded my receiver and amp, these are now for sale:

1. Yamaha RX-A1010 Receiver: $250 plus actual shipping - comes with mic, remote, and generic power cord. In very good cosmetic shape, probably 7/10 audiogon scale to be safe. I do not have the original box, but like everything I sell this will come well packed. This is a very well built, excellent sounding receiver. I really agree with what hi-fi's review on this one. I especially like the ARC function, works great with my new samsung 4k tv and allows me to stream 4K content through the TV and get the sound via HDMI through the receiver. This receiver does NOT process 4k or atmos, if that is important to you.
2. Parasound HCA-1000A: $215 plus actual shipping - Great amp, not much needs said. Improved over the original 1000 with larger caps, trigger input, loop outputs, and increased wattage from 100 to 125 wpc. Has some scratches, not perfect. Maybe 6/10 audiogon scale. Caps are in good shape, sounds like it should. Neutral with fast, tight bass. I was using an after market power cord with it, but if you need one just let me know and I will throw it in the box.

Paypal (other possibilities if I know you). Please cover any applicable fees. I usually ship FedEx home. I suspect these will both be around $25-30 each to ship, of course, that will vary depending on location.

    Great deal on that AVR. I have the same model and it’s fantastic. Pairs great with the RTIs also.

    Thx fellas!

    I agree it’s a great avr. The reason I don’t have the original box is that I didn’t think I would sell it for a good long time so I used the box to ship something different. Stupid! The only reason I replaced it is that I actually have an 8.1 setup in the family room (mostly in ceiling) and I wanted something that could do 9.1. This avr is built like a tank and sounds great for music and movies. The buyer won’t be disappointed!

    In all honesty though, great guy. We've done quite a few deals for things I dont recall over the years and never had any problems.

    If I had extra cash I'd hop on this and just put it in storage as a backup to my Denon lol.....

    That Parasound HCA-1000A is a surprisingly capable little thing.
    Great deals on both of these pieces. Great opportunity to get into a nice AVR with the preouts for room to grow later.

    This AVR even has a phono input? Wow. Good stuff.

    Well...it was almost a year ago, but still...I installed the head unit and used it for a couple years. It started getting wonky and we really wanted a dvd player for the kids, so I upgraded all the tech in there except the factory amp. Need to do that soon!

    Y’all need to jump on this deal. I sure wouldn’t let mine go for that. This was Yamaha’s best 7.2 AVR not so long ago. It’s networking capabilities are great too.

    Parasound received and up and running. For kicks I put into my 2 channel rig vs. my B&K 200.2. Different sound for sure between the 2. The Parasound will be handling center channel duty in the HT soon. Thanks much....
