Another reason to admire and support the manufacturer. Thanks Ken and Polk Audio for the support of those of us who enjoy the vintage side of the company's lineup.

Speakers arrived! Will unpack and test them later. I have a spare set of RDO tweeters and I may even upgrade the crossovers. B)

Shutup Russ, upgrading the tweeters with Polk replacements is not defiling the speakers....you can have an original 67 vette, but it will need new belts and stuff

It's getting to the point where a fragile item can't be shipped any longer. My wife buys and sells sewing machines. The damage rate from shipping was unacceptable, so she deals local only. Kinda eliminates a large market share. Fed Ex and UPS are ungodly. Ever make a claim for shipping damages? It can be a painfully slow process with many disqualifying factors.Believe it or not: USPS was the best.

I shipped a pair of Klipsch RB-5s to RI via UPS. Packed as well, if not better than when they came from Colorado with no damage. They were trashed and the buyer sent me pics. Bass drivers had seperated from cabs, but horns were ok. Ended up giving about 75% of his money back. They had to have been thrown around and dropped numerous times. Filed a claim, but was denied. Im done with UPS and shipping in general.
